Marc David Seitles is an experienced trial and appellate attorney who has had a number of significant recent victories, including a string of not guilty verdicts in the United States v. Evelio Conde, the United States v. Jose Luis Rojas Sarabia, the United States v. Carla Lima Silva, and the United States v. Kenneth Golding. 

Marc's efforts also resulted in the dismissal of federal indictments against his clients in the matters of the United States v. Barbara Walden, the United States v. Harold Daniel, the United States v. Kevin Dunn, and the United States v. Bryan Green.

Marc has had many sucessful outcomes in high-profile cases:  In 2008, in a well-publicized case in the Southwest region of the United States, the United States v. Acambaro Restaurants & Arturo Reyes, Marc convinced federal prosecutors to drop money laundering and harboring illegal alien charges against a successful Mexican restaurant chain and food corporation.  Instead, the owners were offered misdemeanors and paid a fine.

In another publicized stock fraud case, the United States v. Kirk Wright, Marc successfully argued for bond where the government sought to detain an Atlanta Hedge Fund owner who was accused of defrauding investors, including many NFL players, of millions of dollars.

Marc made headline news in the United States v. Frank Onetti convincing a federal Judge to release his client from federal prison to allow him to be with his son during a bone marrow transplant. The Judge later granted Marc's habeas petition and re-sentenced Mr. Onetti to three years probation. 

Most recently, Marc represented the 28 family members of the former heads of the "Cali Cartel" in the United States v. Gilberto & Miguel Rodriguez Orejuela.  Marc negotiated an unprecedented agreement for his clients resulting in immunity from prosecution in the United States and Colombia and their removal from the OFAC List as Specially Designated Narcotraffickers.

Prior to entering private practice, Marc was employed as a trial attorney with the Federal Defender's Office, Southern District of Florida and as a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence K. Karlton, Chief Judge Emeritus, Eastern District of California.

Marc has also worked on post-conviction appeals, including representing inmates on Florida's death row.  His efforts helped several of his clients receive new trials and have their death sentences commuted to life, including Ana Cardona, the well-publicized Baby Lollipops case.

Marc has published numerous articles in law reviews and journals around the country on issues involving criminal procedure, land use and planning, and international law.  His articles have been cited by legal scholars and are used as law school curriculum.  Most recently, one of his articles was cited by the Black Women Lawyer's Association of Chicago in an amicus brief filed with United States Supreme Court.

In 2008, Marc was a faculty member at a criminal law conference in Naples, Florida for attorneys in South Florida.  He has also previously taught as an adjunct professor at Florida International University.

Marc has been given awards by the Broward County Young Lawyers Division, the Inter-American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Foundation, and the National Association of Public Interest Law.

Marc has served as local counsel in an international anti-trust case for several Washington D.C. attorneys from King & Spalding, and for a partner at DeGuerin Dickson & Hennessy, a boutique criminal defense firm in Houston, Texas.

Marc is also on the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (2007-2008 term).  He is admitted to practice in the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the Third and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.  He has also been admitted pro hac vice in the Western District of Arkansas, the Eastern District of New York, and the Eastern District of Michigan.

Marc is admitted to the Florida Bar, and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association.

Marc serves the Miami-Dade community as a board member for the Borinquen Health Care Center, a non profit organization which provides health care services to low-income patients.

Marc graduated law school magna cum laude from Nova Southeastern University where he received the "Most Outstanding Student Award" upon graduation.  He served on the Nova Law Review, the Moot Court Board, and was a finalist in the school's moot court competition.
