A highly ornamented 15ct gold brooch mourning memorial brooch. It was made circa 1830-1850 and has a black enamel background with Gothick scrolling pattern around a glass locket oval centre containing hair. The locket is 13.0 x 10.0mm (we did not try to open the locket because of the delicacy). Unmarked but Tested as 15K Yellow Gold. The reverse side has replaced stem pin, it is non-gold. The brooch is highly collectable. Weight 9.6 grams, the brooch is 1.5" x 1 3/4"
